Faming, Lines, Balance, Simplicity, Rule of thirds, Avoiding Mergers

                                               Framing
These two buildings are framing the disaster caused by 9-11.

                                                  Lines
This photo has lines of smoke to catch the attention.

Balance
This photo is balanced because of their body language.

Simplicity
This photo would be simplicity because it shows a lot of stuff that's happening in the disaster but you can focus on the smoke thats chasing them or the people that are running from it.

Camera History And Camera Parts

1. Explain the “camera obscura” effect. How is it achieved?
The camera obscura is a device that projects an image onto the wall like a projector. The whole in the box acted like a lens focusing light.

2.
What invention during the 17th Century helped man get a step closer to creating the modern camera?
The high quality glass lense brought us closer to making the first camera.

3.
What were the parts of the first modern camera invented by Niepce?
Niepce added film to finish the first camera.

4.
What do modern digital cameras have in common with Niepce’s camera?
Light passes through the lense and into the camera and exposes the film. Just like the Niepce camera.

5.
What do digital cameras use to capture an image?
An electronic sensor called a CCD.

6.
What is the difference between the Auto Mode and the Program mode?
On the auto mode everything is controlled. In the program mode you can control some settings like flash.

7.
What is the Portrait mode used for? How does it work?
Portrait mode attempts to blur out the back ground and uses the highest lense setting.

8.
What is the Sports mode used for? (not just sports) How does it work?
The Sports mode is used to freeze motion using the highest shutter speed possible.

9.Why should you do a half press on the trigger button?
The half press gives faster reaction time and more control over focus.

10.
What does this symbol mean? When would you use this?
No flash, only when you need the flash if not its not necessary.

11.
What does this symbol mean? When would you use this?
Flash will automatically fire if the camera thinks that it needs more light.

12.
What happens to your photo if there is too much light?
The photo will look washed out

13.
What happens to your photo if there is not enough light?
The photo will be too dark.

14.
What is a “stop.”
A stop is a relative change in the brightness of light.

15.
How many stops brighter is the new planet if there are two sons instead of one?

If you start with a single lightbulb and then add another bulb, the light intensity will increase by one stop.

16. How many stops brighter is the new planet if there are four sons instead of two?
To increase the light by another stop you would need to double the light for a total of 4 bulbs, and so on..

17.What affect does a longer shutter speed of have?
Longer shutter speed has more light.

18.What affect does a shorter shutter speed have?
Shorter shutter speed has less light.

19.What does the aperture control?
The size of the opening.

20. When adjusting the aperture, how can you increase the amount of light?
Making the aperture large means letting in more light.

My Dream Monster Meal

My dream monster meal would be from pluckers. It would be some honey BBQ wings with a side of fries and some ranch, and a cold pink lemonade drink.

Best and Worst

Best Photo:
This photo is the best because she's actually looking and posing. Also because she's smiling.
Worst Photo:
This photo is the worst photo because she's not looking and she's moving. Also because you can't see her face and the picture looks kinda blurry.
